Tahanan Tattoo

Built the brand identity for Tahanan Tattoo, a fictional Woodside, Queens-based handpoke tattoo studio that pays homage to Filipino tattooing traditions and culture. 

The studio’s clientele is primarily comprised of Filipino Gen-Zs and Millennials, ages 18-40, who want to (re)connect with their Filipino heritage. Tahanan Tattoo also acts as a venue to host community-building events for Filipinos.

Tahanan means "home" in Tagalog.


The branding concept for Tahanan Tattoo centers around the literal and figurative meaning of home for Filipinos. Tahanan Tattoo provides Filipinos with tattoos in a safe and welcoming space.

Final Logos

The logo features a bahay kubo, a type of stilt house indigenous to the Philippines. The composition of the emblem logo is inspired by official Philippine government seals. A combination logo is available as an alternative in situations where the emblem logo cannot be used.

Flash Sheets

Flash sheets are collections of pre-designed tattoos drawn by the tattoo artist that are to be claimed by clients. Each flash sheet is displayed in 8”x10” frames. Digitized versions are posted on Instagram.

Deliverables

Brand elements include a stationery set (letterhead, business card, and envelope), flash booklet, aftercare sheet, merchandise (hoodie, sticker, and tote), website, and Instagram account.
